Melt-in the mouth, Spicy Roast Potatoes

Another easy side dish recipe that is an excellent accompaniment for chicken, fish and meat – ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and cut into 6

1 lemon (juice)

1 orange (juice)

2 tablespoons mustard

salt

freshly ground pepper

1/4 teacup of extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon red hot chili pepper seeds

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230ºC and place the baking pan in to give it a good blast of heat!
  2. Carefully remove the pan and put the potatoes and olive oil in. Stir well to get the potatoes coated in oil. Bake them for 10 minutes.
  3. Put the lemon juice, orange juice, mustard, red hot chili pepper seeds, salt and pepper in a bowl, combine them well and then pour them over the half-baked potatoes. Give the potatoes a stir every 15 minutes. They are an ideal side dish for meat, fish and poultry.
